These terms apply to Goodness Chain on iOS and Android. By using the app you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.
Goodness Chain invites you to do one small kindness a day and record it. It is a habit and reflection tool. It is not a charity, it does not collect or forward donations, and it does not verify that any organisation you interact with is legitimate.
You can use the app with a silent account that requires no personal details. You may later link it to Apple, Google or an email address so your garden survives a change of device. You are responsible for keeping access to that account; if you lose it and it was never linked, the garden cannot be recovered, because we hold nothing that identifies you.
Every task is a suggestion, not an instruction. You alone decide whether a task is safe, appropriate and legal where you are. Do not enter private property, do not approach animals that may be dangerous, do not act against local law, and do not put yourself or anyone else at risk. If a task does not suit your situation, swap the card or skip the day.
We are not responsible for what happens while you carry out a task. This is not a limitation we hide in small print — it is the honest position: we cannot see your street, your weather or your circumstances, and you can.
Proof exists to make the habit real for you, not to police you. Do not submit photographs of other people. Do not submit content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, or that identifies someone without their consent. We may remove content and, where necessary, suspend accounts that break this.
Goodness Chain is free to use. Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly and yearly, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for new subscribers. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app; Apple and Google convert from the base price and add local tax.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies; we cannot issue them directly.
Free accounts may see advertising. Premium subscribers see none. Ads come from third-party networks and we do not control the specific advertisers shown.
Your photos, reflections and chain titles remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them inside the app and, where you choose to share a chain, to the participants of that chain. We do not use your content for marketing.
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The app is designed to keep working offline: kindnesses you complete without a connection are stored on your device and sync later.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, after which the same deletion rights still apply.
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
